  1. Place a container under the coffee spout and steam wand (if your machine has one) to collect the descaling solution.
  2. Turn the machine on and access the descaling mode:
    • For automatic models: Press the descaling button or follow the descaling sequence as indicated in the user manual.
    • For manual models: Follow the steps for activating the descaling function.
  3. The machine will start dispensing the descaling solution through the spout and steam wand. Allow it to run until the tank is empty.

Step 4: Rinse the System

  1. Once the descaling cycle is complete, empty the container used to collect the descaling solution.
  2. Rinse the water tank thoroughly to remove any residual descaler.
  3. Fill the tank with fresh water and run a rinse cycle:
    • Turn the machine on and allow it to dispense the clean water through the spout and steam wand until the tank is empty.

Step 5: Final Steps

  1. Repeat the rinse process if necessary to ensure all traces of the descaling solution are removed.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
  3. Refill the water tank with clean water for your next use.
  4. Resume normal operation.
